If you’re looking for ways to increase revenue and move inventory, marketing tactics like $20 Tuesday are a terrific way to empty out your cooler, clean up inventory and finish out the week strong.

It certainly can be - when it’s utilized correctly - but as is the case with most marketing strategies, your success depends largely on the work you’re willing to put in and the resources you’re willing to appropriate.
Overall, most of the shops we work with have had success with $20 Tuesday, but the practice isn’t necessarily a good fit for everyone.
On the surface, $20 Tuesday and similar promotions can be excellent ways to stay in touch with customers during slow periods while allowing you to turn over perishable inventory; however they will not be big money-makers if you’re not utilizing them properly. They might also work against you by diluting your brand. You want customers to think of you when they need a full service, high-quality florist, but you may not want to be also known as “the place with cheap flowers.”
